19th Annual SW Community Festival

It’s that time again! The 19th Annual SW Community Festival hosted by Another Way Out (AWO), Inc. returns Friday, 10/2 (6pm – 10pm), Saturday, 10/3 (10am – 10pm) and Sunday, 10/4 (12noon – 6pm) at the Cascade Driving Range. This FREE, family festival features live musical performances, carnival, car show, delicious food and a variety of merchandise vendors. AWO is a youth Mentoring and After School Tutorial program for youth ages 8-18 in the Southwest Atlanta/South Fulton areas. Come all to the 19th Annual SW Community Festival!

2nd Annual HOToberFest
Glenwood Park

Cost:  $30-$50

The beer-tasting area of HOToberFest is 21-and-over-only but there’s plenty of family-friendly fare. A large, free of charge public area will feature the music pavilion, and the World Market will include local artist, green info. affiliates, concessions and kid-friendly activities.

Atlanta Greek Festival

The Atlanta Greek Festival brings all the aromas, sounds, tastes and traditions of Greece to your doorstep. The Annunciation Cathedral and the Atlanta Greek Community are proud to host the Atlanta Greek Festival. Being Greek means relishing the world around you and enjoying life to its fullest. The Atlanta Greek Festival gives us the opportunity to open our arms, our hearts and our kitchens as we share our culture with you!

Sweet Auburn Heritage Festival

The Sweet Auburn Heritage Festival features arts, foods and several stages of live entertainment. Held in the historic Sweet Auburn District of downtown Atlanta the Sweet Auburn Heritage Festival attracts approximatly 20,000 attendees annually. The festival also includes several themed venues and much, much, more.

Pine LakeFest 2009

Enjoy this fall festival in the eclectic Pine Lake Community. Activites will include:
- Arts and crafts on display and for sale including painting, felting, photography, handcrafted jewelry, handmade cards/stationary and more.
- Live musical performances including rock, European-gypsy jazz, electro-pop, international folk and acoustic Americana genres.
- Activities for all ages including a sand sculpture contest, face painting and children’s art activities, a Saturday night beach party and more.
- A variety of foods, baked goods, soft drinks, beer and wine will be available for purchase.
Roswell Riverside Sounds 2009

On the first Saturday of each month (second Saturday in July) join The New 97.1 The River for free live music during Riverside Sounds. The event begins at 7:30 PM . Bring a picnic and lawn chairs/blankets there are also concessions available.
Destination East Point

The annual fall festival, always on the first Saturday in October, will be on Main Street, across from the East Point MARTA station. The festival is from 12 noon-7pm. There will be great music all day long, food, arts/ crafts, stilt walker, face painters, strolling musicians, dog show, festival favorites, inflatables, balloons and much, much more. Fun for all ages!  We hope you can come by and be a part of this wonderful fall tradition in East Point.
Georgia Solar Festival and Tour
Glenwood Park

Cost: Free for 17 and under accompanied by a paying adult.  $15-$25
The festival begins October 2 with Hands On Solar Day, where metro students will learn about the next generation of solar power and its potential to transform Georgia’s environment and economy. On October 3, the Solar Tour will showcase homes and businesses throughout the metro area that rely on clean, alternative energy. In conjunction with the Solar Tour, HotoberFest, powered by GSEA, promises to be a lively event celebrating live music, craft beer and the potential of solar power.
Atlanta Smooth Music Festival

Smooth Jazz Concert featuring Boney James, Walter Beasley, Urban Jazz Coalition and Michael Manson. Come out and spend a day with some of the top names in the smooth jazz genre. Adfditionally, in our festival atmosphere, there will be plenty of vendors on hand with many products to offer.
