ABOUT OUR INDUSTRY SPOTLIGHT GUEST
Journalist & Media Spotlight: Tanjuria Anderson of CONNECT Magazine
“Gaining trust and respect in the magazine field is not easy. You definitely have to persevere.”
With so many magazines starting up in the last two years by newcomers to the publishing business, we were curious about what was driving these new publishers’ decision to make such a career move. We met Tanjuria Anderson last year and found her career change to publishing was the most interesting one we had run across.
Tanjuria Anderson is the publisher and CEO of CONNECT Magazine, a quarterly publication catering to highly active business executives, professionals, small business owners, entrepreneurs, government leaders and civic visionaries. It focuses on dining, entertainment, arts, sports, and lifestyle for today’s socially conscious professional.
Tanjuria herself is the epitome of those highly active business executives, a whirling dervish of activity that is proving the key to the success of CONNECT Magazine. But even her exhausting schedule can’t dampen her enthusiasm for her work or her passion for networking, learning, and taking on new challenges. She carved out some time to tell us a little about her journey into publishing. – Karla Sinclair, Editor, Atlanta Daybook
This is your time to SHINE! Tanjuria will provide insight on the world of entrepreneurship, magazine publishing, and editing. She will also observe your rough draft oral presentations. Don’t be nervous! You will do just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
